Abstract: Because of the influence of conventional ammunition working in high rotation, high overloading, high temperature, high pressure and other harsh environments during the launch, it is difficult to measure the initial velocity of projectile muzzle. This paper analyzes and compares each sort of characteristics of several typical initial velocity measurement methods of projectile muzzle both at home and abroad, and proposes the development trend based on current research and practical aplication.
